Failure to Recognize the TPMS

Improper Handling of Reverse Mount Wheels

Not Using Enough Lubrication

In fact, using too much lubrication or incorrect solution can cause slippage and vibration problems. On the flip side, too little lube can cause damage to the tire and wheel.

If you use the incorrect lubricants, it will create long-term wheel corrosion, leakage & premature failures. Therefore, ensure to lube the inner toe area of the tire bead, bead seat and balcony of wheel drop center.

Incorrect Mounting after Balancing the Assembly

You are still quite likely to make a mistake once the assembly is off the balancer. Simply, put the assembly back on the wheel. It’s essential to torque assembly to manufacturers’ specs. Variation in a lug nut torque is a major cause of vibration. In case you use consistent torque, it will eliminate a few variables that are likely to cause a comeback. The proper maintenance of equipment is critical to correct mounting & balancing.

Outside Coning

This is one of the major balancing mistakes that must be avoided. According to the experts, the use of outside cones leads to wobbling & run-out. They recommend that one should place a cone on the back of the assembly and then apply for the correct-size plate simply by centering it on the lug holes. Ensure that you mount and center the assembly, in the same manner, it’ll be mounted & balanced on the vehicle.
