Custom Clothing – Why Buying Direct Makes So Much Sense

One thing’s for sure – the custom clothing printing craze is here to stay! All across the country, the appeal of being able to design, print and wear with pride your own unique creations is inspiring millions to do exactly that. And it’s not just in the private domain either, as more businesses than ever before further their brand marketing efforts with genuinely outstanding custom corporate clothing.

However, as demand for custom clothing printing services continues to increase, so too does the already vast army of service providers standing by to get the job done. Which in its own right isn’t exactly a bad thing, but not every service offering t-shirt printing in Birmingham is in fact a printing service. Instead, there’s a whole bunch of third-party middlemen out there, who despite not technically breaking any rules are doling out bum deals to their clients.

What’s the harm in shopping with a middleman or reseller? It might not be the end of the world, but in doing so you’ll deny yourself the following benefits:

1 – The Lowest Prices

First and foremost, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that no middlemen on the market gladly work for free. They’re only doing what they do to make money, which is all well and good, but this inevitably means charging elevated prices for the printed garments they order from elsewhere. You go direct, you cut out the middleman and you pay only the direct-purchase price – an option that makes infinitely more sense in every way.

2 – The Highest Quality

Something else to consider is the way in which guarantees of the highest product quality can only realistically be gained by buying direct. Third-party resellers more often than not tend to make beelines for whichever supplier will give them the best deal at the time – quality not always coming into the equation. Combined with the above point therefore, to work with middlemen is to potentially rule out the lowest possible prices in conjunction with superior quality, which really doesn’t make sense on any level.

3 – Superior Customer Care

Customer care should also be brought into consideration as it isn’t always necessary for the third-party reseller to have any in-depth knowledge about the products they sell or the production process in general. As such, it cannot be expected that they will be able to provide the same level of support and guidance, as will be provided as standard when dealing with a reputable printing company direct. This is precisely the kind of advice that can be pure gold when it comes to finalising design ideas and exploring all available opportunities – it’s also free of charge when working with the professionals.

4 – Product Consistency

Another important consideration is consistency as in the process of ordering products from a variety of different suppliers, it is inevitable that occasional (or frequent) variations in printing quality will be evident. Of course that isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you are only looking to order a single garment on a one-time-only basis. If, by contrast you intend to order in bulk or on a repeat basis, consistency is of the utmost importance.

5 – Faster Delivery Times

In terms of order fulfillment and delivery times, dealing with professional printing houses will always be the fastest and most convenient option. When placing an order with a third-party, you are then to some extent at their mercy with regard to when they will pass your order on to their suppliers, not to mention whether or not they will actually get the order right. Realistically, it’s a case of adding complication into the mix where no additional complication is necessary – all the more reason to shop directly with the professionals.

6 – Simpler Returns

Last but not least, it’s always wise to err on the side of caution and to assume that sooner or later, you will find yourself in a position where product returns are required. Suffice to say, when dealing with third-party resellers and middlemen, the process can be made exponentially more complicated than it needs to be as all goods may have to be passed through them, in order to get back to the original supplier.  This can make the process both long-winded and convoluted, which isn’t exactly desirable should the garments in question be required with any degree of urgency.

More often than not, just a simple glance over the seller’s website and perhaps a couple of direct questions are all that’s necessary to determine whether it’s an established brand or a third-party you’re dealing with. If in doubt, simply check for recent customer feedback and see what others had to say about the seller’s general reputation and competence.
